Not sure how (technically) to comment on photos here, but I am very affected by this photo. I’d like to hear about it. Seems to be love, comfort, sadness, anticipation. The expression on the older mans face…I’m still trying to determine the right word for it…until then, all I can say is that it invokes a feeling of compassion.
I am sorry if commenting on such a personal photo is inappropriate. I am not aware of which type of etiquette is suited for such activities.

I really wondered if it was too personal to post publicly. When I had sent it I regretted it almost immediately. Is it really my place to expose my nephew like that?
But something I’ve come to realize with my poetry, first of all, is that the more personal it is, and often, the more I regret having written it or having agreed to perform it, it is that much more important to share.
The photo is a series of three, actually. My sister asked me to take a photo of my nephew and his grandfather, so I did. The first one he was all smiles, but right after he started to cry. I put the camera down at that point but my sister told me to just keep shooting. I shot two more and this is the last.
About comments, I’m not sure about any kind of ‘etiquette.’ Comment away. I’ve shared it so it’s yours now, too.
